The District of Pukekohe:
All those lands within and known as lots Nos. 40, 43, 55, and 56, situated in the Parish of Opaheke, also that portion of lot 41 in the same Parish lying South of a line from the bridge over the Tuimata River to the south-west angle of lot 57 of the Parish of Karaka, also lot 81 in the Parish of Karaka, and lots 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 37 in the Parish of Pukekohe, all in the County of Eden, including all roads traversing and lying between the lots before mentioned.
The Papakura Valley District:
All those lands within and known as lots Nos. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 36, 37, 38, 39, 57, 58, and 62 in the Parish of Papakura; also lots Nos. 95 and 96 in the Parish of Manurewa; also that portion of the block of land known as Clendon’s Grant, lying on the north-east side of the Great South Road, and between the road which forms the south-east boundary of the said Grant and a line fifty chains north-west from and parallel to the said road, also all roads bounding or lying between any of the said lots (the Great South Road excepted).
The Wangarei District:
All that portion of the Parish of Wangarei, in the County of Marsden, bounded on the South and West by the southern and western boundary of Carvith’s Grant, from the junction of the Hatea River and Wai-arohia Creek to where the said boundary joins Muir’s Grant; thence by the western boundary of Mair’s Grant to where it joins the Kamo Block at Kete Nikau; thence by the western boundary of the Kamo Block to the Waitaua Creek; thence following the course of Waitaua to its junction with the River Hatea; thence by the River Hatea to its junction with the Wai-arohia Creek aforesaid, including all the Roads and Landing-places within the before mentioned boundaries.
The Wairoa District:
All that block of land known as the Parish of Wairoa, in the County of Eden, and shown upon the public map of the Parish of Wairoa in the Waste Lands Office, and also that block of land known as lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in the Parish of Taupo, and situated on the East of the Wairoa River, shown upon the same map, including all Roads and Landing-places within the before mentioned Parish of Wairoa, and lying between the before named lots in the Parish of Taupo.
The District of Waitakerei West:
All those lands within and known as lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 of the Parish of Waitakerei in the County of Eden; also the road lying between the Parishes of Waitakerei and Waipareira and all roads traversing and lying between the lots before mentioned.
The District of Waitakerei East:
All that block of land in the Parish of Waitakerei in the County of Eden, known as lots Nos. 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83,

With reference to the foregoing notification attention is directed to the 3rd and 4th clauses of the “Highways Act, 1862,” which are as follows:—

The majority in number of all persons being tenants in fee simple of any estate or interest in any lands or tenements within any such District and which lands or tenements shall not be under demise for a term of seven years or upwards, or being mortgagees in possession or lessees of lands or tenements within any such District for a term of seven years or upwards, may present to the Superintendent a memorial stating their desire that the further operation of this Act shall be extended to such District.

On receipt of such memorial by the Superintendent he shall publish in the Gazette of the Province a notification of such receipt, and shall declare that this Act shall thenceforth be in full operation within such District; thereupon this Act shall come into and remain in full operation therein.
