PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by the "Deputy Act, 1856," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, by proclamation to be published in the Government Gazette of such Province, to appoint such person as he may think fit, being a registered elector of such Province, to be his Deputy, and as such to perform and exercise all the acts and powers (except such powers as are conferred by the Constitution Act, 15 & 16 Vict. c. 72) which may be exercised and performed by such Superintendent, or such of them only as shall be specified in such proclamation.

Now, therefore, I, John Williamson, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby appoint

Daniel Pollen, Esq., J.P.,

to be my Deputy in the said Province, and to perform and exercise all the acts and powers which may be exercised by me (except such powers as are conferred by the Constitution Act, 15 & 16 Vict. c. 72).

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this nineteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the "Highways Act, 1862," I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described shall respectively be districts under the said Act, and that such districts shall be known by the names thereto respectively prefixed, that is to say—

The District of Mangerei:

All that portion of the Parish of Manurewa in the County of Eden, bounded on the East by the Great South Road, from the road to Mr. Robert Robertson’s House to the Tamaki Bridge, thence by the Western Bank of the Tamaki River to the Pukaki Portage Road, thence by the Pukaki Portage Road to the Manukau, on the South by the Manukau, and on the West by the Manukau, and on the North by the Manukau, to a Creek running to Mr. John Fairburn’s Farm, thence along the boundary between Messrs. Hall and R. Robertson to the Great South Road including the Island known as Weekes’ Island, but excepting lands held by natives in the Settlements of Pukaki, Ihumata, and Mangarei.

The East Tamaki District:

All the lands situated in the Parish of Pakuranga in the County of Eden, and known as lots 3, 7, 18, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39.
