PROCLAMATION.
By John Williamson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by an Act made and passed in the Parliament holden in the fifteenth and sixteenth years of the reign of her present Majesty, intituled "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," it is amongst other things enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, by proclamation in the “Government Gazette,” to fix such place or places within the limits of the Province, and such times for holding the first and every other Session of the Provincial Council as he may think fit.
Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority in me vested in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sixth Session of the Provincial Council shall be holden at Auckland, and shall commence on Tuesday, the 9th day of December, 1856; and the members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at the said time and place accordingly.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this 15th day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six.

PROCLAMATION.
By John Williamson, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by an Act made and passed in the 4th Session of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Resident Magistrates’ Courts Extension of Jurisdiction Act, 1856,” it was enacted amongst other things that it shall be lawful for the Governor, upon the request of the Superintendent of any Province, by proclamation in the Government Gazette, to bring the said Act into operation in respect of any Resident Magistrates’ Court having jurisdiction within such Province; from and after a certain day to be named in such proclamation, and to declare the districts within which cases may be heard in such Court under the provisions of the said Act.
AND WHEREAS by the said recited Act it was further enacted “That the Superintendent of the Province within which any such Resident Magistrate’s Court shall be situated, shall, by proclamation in the Government Gazette of such Province, fix the days upon which such Courts shall sit to hear and determine causes under the provisions of the said Act.”
AND WHEREAS by a proclamation dated the 7th day of November instant, and published in the New Zealand Government Gazette on the 11th of the said month his Excellency the Governor did proclaim and declare that the said recited Act should come into operation in respect of the Resident Magistrate’s Court of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, from and after the 12th day November instant, and that the Province of Auckland shall be the District within which cases may be heard in such Court under the provisions of the said recited Act.
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the authority in me vested in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland do hereby proclaim and declare, that the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Auckland will sit to hear and determine causes under the provisions of the said recited Act, on the 27th day of November instant, and after that day on the first and third Thursday of every month, unless either of the said days shall fall upon a public holiday, in which event the said Court will sit on the day preceding. And I do further proclaim and declare that I have fixed the said days as the days upon which such Court shall sit to hear and determine causes under the provisions of the said recited Act.

COUNTRY LANDS ON CREDIT.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
With reference to a Notification in the Provincial Government Gazette, of the 20th of September last, setting apart certain lands for the purpose of being sold as “Country Lands on Credit”...
Notice is hereby given that the following lands so set apart, are still open for Sale on Credit; namely:—
Ten Allotments situate at TAHAWAI, Parish of Ruakaka, Wangarei, containing in all about 722 acres.
Eleven Allotments situate in the parish of MANGAPEKA, Wangarei, containing in all about 722 acres.
The conditions on which Credit Land is obtained are contained in clauses 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52, of the Waste Lands Regulations of the 15th of June, 1856.
Any information on this subject, can be obtained at the Waste Lands Office.

The following Return shewing the quantity of land transferred by the General Government to the Provincial Government of Auckland, from March 15th, 1855, to the present date; also the quantity of land disposed of under the Waste Land Regulations of March, 1855, and of June 15th, 1856 respectively, together with the quantity of land at present available for sale, is published for general information.
