- The punt, gear and approaches to be
maintained in good and serviceable condition,
subject to the approval of the Provincial
Engineer. - Ferry to extend on both sides of the
river one mile each way, from the point at
which the punt starts. - The charges not to exceed the following
rates :—

HOUSE.

WHEREAS on the night of the 6th
instant, a NEW HUT, in course of
construction, the property of Joe Loom and
mate, Chinese, was burnt to the ground.
And whereas there is suspicion that the
burning of the hut was an Act of Incendiar-
ism—Notice is hereby given that the Pro-
vincial Government of Westland offer a
REWARD OF TWENTY POUNDS to
any person or persons who will give such in-
formation as will lead to the conviction of the
person or persons by whom such fire was
caused.
