APPLICATION FOR A WATER-RIGHT LICENSE.

TO THE WARDEN OF THE GREYMOUTH DISTRICT.

SIR,—I herewith deposit the sum of Twenty Pounds as required by the Water-race License Regulations, and I agree, if my application (the particulars of which are hereunder set forth) be investigated, that such sum shall in all respects be held subject to the terms of such regulations, and that upon the approval of this application, I will abide by any conditions that may be imposed upon me.

Distance of Race.—Six miles.

Capital proposed to be expended.—£6000.

Term for which license is required.—Fifteen years.

Precise Locality.—The Race commences at a dam in Cock-eye Creek, in the County of Westland, and extends in a westerly direction for a distance of about six miles, and terminates at a place called Donegal Terrace, and at a point on the said terrace near to the Township of Nemona. The said race takes in its course the waters of several small creeks, which it crosses, and the locality, direction and other particulars are more fully shown in a plan of the said race, lodged with this application in the Warden’s Office, Greymouth.
