IT is hereby notified for general information, that

HENRY LEE ROBINSON, Esq.,
has been duly elected as Chairman of the
County Council.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS, by the eighth section of
"The Public Health Act, 1872," it
is enacted that the place and time of meetings
of the Central Board of Health for the
County of Westland shall be fixed by the Board, except of the first
meeting which shall be fixed by the Superintendent of such Province by Proclamation
in the Provincial "Gazette;"

And whereas, by the sixth section of the
aid Act, it is enacted that the word Superintendent shall mean the Superintendent
of any Province within the Province for which
he is such Superintendent, and shall include
the Chairman of the County Council of the
County of Westland:

Now therefore, I, Henry Lee Robinson,
Chairman of the County Council of West-
land, do hereby appoint that the first meeting
of the Central Board of Health for the
County of Westland shall take place at the
office of the Chairman of the County Council,
on Wednesday, the 22nd day of January
instant, at the hour of two o’clock p.m.

Given under my hand at Hokitika, this
twentieth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
three.

directs it to be notified for general
information, that

Messrs. DAVID MORISSY,
THOMAS COLTON,
MICHAEL McGILLICUDDY,
and JAMES DAFFY,
have been duly elected as Members of the
Paroa Road Board, in the room of Messrs.
Maurice O’Connor, Thomas Colton, and
Hugh Barnhill, retiring by rotation, and Mr.
John O’ Dowd, resigned.
