APPLICATION FOR A WATER-RIGHT LICENSE.

TO THE WARDEN OF THE KANIERI DISTRICT.

SIR,—I herewith deposit the sum of Twenty Pounds as required by the Water-race License Regulations, and I agree, if my application (the particulars of which are hereunder set forth) be investigated, that such sum shall in all respects be held subject to the terms of such regulations, and that upon the approval of the application, I will abide by any conditions that may be imposed upon me.

Receivers of Gold Revenue Appointed.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

Mr. Richard White
to be Receiver of Gold Revenue at Kanieri,

in the County of Westland, in the place of Mr William Emerson, removed; and

Mr. Adam Bissett
to be Receiver of Gold Revenue, at Clifton, in the same County. Both appointments to take effect from and after the date hereof.

In pursuance of the power and authority vested in me for that purpose by the fifty-ninth section of “The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” I do hereby approve of the recommendation of the Waste Lands Board of the County of Westland, of the 15th July, 1873, that the value of the improvements on the undermentioned sections in the Township of Stafford, as set against each, shall be added to the upset price thereof. Such valuation having been ascertained and decided by the Waste Lands Board on the 15th day of July, 1873:—
