GREY DISTRICT.
Situate near the junction of Maori Creek
and New River, and containing thirty (30)
acres more or less, bounded on the North-
ward by a Reserve ten (10) chains wide along
the south bank of New River; on the East-
ward by Duffer’s Creek; on the Westward by
Maori Creek; and on the Southward by a
straight line bearing 50° (magnetic); ex-
clusive of necessary reserves and subject to
gold workings.
Block LXXVII. (Suburban.)
TOTARA DISTRICT.
Being part of Rural Blocks X and XXXVI
and comprising one hundred and ten (110)
acres more or less, bounded on the North-
ward by a line north of, and thirteen hundred
and fifty (1350) links from and generally
parallel to the north boundary of section
1414 (rural), and to South Creek; on the
Eastward by South Creek; on the South-
ward by the north boundary of section
1415 (rural), by South Creek road, and by a
straight line twenty-seven (27) chains south
of and parallel to the north boundary; and on
the Westward by the Ross Road and a straight
line bearing 180° (magnetic) through South
Creek traverse peg, No. 7; subject to
necessary reserves and gold workings.
IT is hereby notified, in accordance with
the provisions of section sixty of “The
Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” that the
Waste Lands Board have withdrawn from
sale the land described in the Schedule here-
unto annexed.

TOTARA DISTRICT.
Bounded on the northward by the south
boundary of section 1066, and a straight line
in continuation of north boundary of section
1053; on the eastward by a line ten (10)
chains east of, and generally parallel to the
east boundary of the Railway Reserve; on
the southward by a straight line in con-
tinuation of the south boundary of Block
XLVI; and on the Westward by the sea
coast and part of Railway Reserve.
Auction sale of Waste Lands of the Crown,
under “The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870.”
WE, the undersigned, Commissioners of
the Waste Lands Board of the
County of Westland, in accordance with the
provisions of section thirty-four of “The
Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” do hereby
notify, that Monday, 4th November next
at noon, in the Land Office, Hokitika, is fixed
as the time and place when an auction sale
of town and suburban lands shall take place.

WHEREAS by the “The Diseased Cattle Act, 1871,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor, by
Proclamation to be published in the New Zealand Gazette, may from time to time
establish and define such and so many districts
as he shall think fit to be districts under the
said Act, and to each such district there shall,
in the Proclamation defining it, be attached
such name as the Governor shall think fit,
and by which name it shall thereafter be
