Land Reserves and Company Statements




In pursuance of the provisions of sections
eighty and eighty-one of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," the Waste Lands Board have reserved from public sale the land described in the Schedule hereunto annexed, to be granted in payment for public works.

SCHEDULE.

BLOCK I. (RURAL).
GREY DISTRICT.

Comprising one hundred acres, being bounded on the westward by Greymouth and Marsden Road; on the northward by the south boundary of section 1363; on the eastward by the Omotumotu Creek, and on the southward by a line to include the quantity.

It is hereby notified in accordance with the provisions of Section 60 of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," that the land described in the Schedule hereunto annexed is withdrawn from sale.

SCHEDULE.

All that part of Blocks I. (rural), and LXVII. (suburban), being bounded on the northward by agricultural lease, No. 26, Sinnett’s Head Race, the Irishman’s Dam, and Marsden Road; on the eastward by Marsden Road; on the southward by the southern boundary of Block I. (rural), and Block LXVII. (suburban); and on the westward by the western boundary of Block LXVII. (suburban).

It is hereby notified that the boundaries of Block I. (rural), as gazetted in The County of Westland Gazette, No. 7, of 11th May, 1868, have been extended by the Waste Lands Board as follows:

BLOCK I. (RURAL).
GREY DISTRICT.

Commencing at the north-east corner of Native Reserve, No. 31, and extending up the south bank of the Grey River to the north-western corner of Native Reserve, No. 33; thence following the western and southern boundaries of the reserve, and also a portion of the western boundary of the Coal Reserve, No. 274, (in red) to its south-western corner; from thence southerly along line AK, to the Rata Tree Peak; thence due west (magnetic) in a straight line to the Sawyer’s Creek Road; thence in a north-west direction along the east boundary of said road to the east boundary of Block LXVII. (suburban); and thence north-easterly along said boundary, and along the east boundary of Native Reserve, No. 31, to the commencing point.

Exclusive of necessary reserves and goldworkings.
