Rata tree peak; thence due west (magnetic)
in a straight line to the Sawyer’s Creek road;
thence in a north-west direction along the east
boundary of said road to the east boundary

north-easterly along the said boundary and
along the east boundary of Native Reserve
No. 31, to the commencing point.

of the Borough of Hokitika has been
forwarded to the Chairman of the County
Council, who directs it to be notified that he
does not dissent from it. It is published for
general information under the 191st Clause of
“The Municipal Corporations Act, 1870.”

REGULATIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE

BOROUGH OF HOKITIKA MADE UNDER

SCHEDULE THIRTEEN IN PURSUANCE

OF SECTION ONE HUNDRED AND

NINETY-TWO OF THE “MUNICIPAL

CORPORATIONS ACT, 1867.”


THE Council of the Borough of Hokitika
make the following Regulations under
the first subdivision of the tenth part of
schedule thirteen, that is to say—

PASSENGER VEHICLES.

  1. Every Hackney Carriage, Omnibus,
    Cabriolet, Cart, or Vehicles of any description
    plying for hire within the Borough of Hokitika,
    shall pay to the Borough fund for their
    License, and for the Registration of their
    names the sum of one pound (£1). All
    Licenses shall be made payable from the first
    day of June, 1872, and shall continue payable
    on each succeeding first day of June.

Passed by the Council of the Borough of
Hokitika this twelfth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two.
