IT is hereby notified, for general information,
that the following is to be read as
an addition to Clause 175, Section XIX, of
the Westland Gold Fields Rules and Regulations, as published in The County of Westland Gazette, No. 9, of the 30th March,
1871.

“If an adhesive stamp is used, it will have
to be affixed, impressed, and obliterated at
the Stamp Office of the County; but paper
impressed with a ten-shilling stamp can be
used in lieu of an adhesive stamp.”

IT is hereby notified, for general information,
that in pursuance of the powers vested
in me under “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,”
I have inserted the following condition under
which McGrigor and party hold their special
claim, in addition to those already imposed
and published in the County Gazette, No.
7, of the 1st March, 1871:—“Four men to
the acre to be constantly employed on the
claim. This condition may be temporarily
relaxed at the discretion of the Warden
of the District: Provided that at no time
shall a smaller number than fifteen men be
kept working in the claim.”

THE Chairman of the County Council
directs it to be notified for general
information that the following is to be read as
condition 6 in the Schedule to the Proclamation, published in the County Gazette, No.
11, of the 22nd April, 1871, authorising
Aldrich, Boyle, and Co., to levy tolls on the
Arahura Bridge.

  1. The above tolls will cover the return
    journey, only if made on the same day.
