to be Inspector of Police in the County of Westland, in the room of Thomas Broham, Esq., resigned.

PURSUANT to Section 13 of “The Gold Mining Claims Drainage Act, 1868,” and under the powers delegated to me in that behalf by His Excellency the Governor, I hereby publish for general information Bye Law No. 13, of the Jones’ Flat Mining Drainage Board.

BYE LAW No. 13.
At a Meeting of the Mining Drainage Board of the District of Jones’ Flat, begun and holden at Ross, in the said District, on the 28th day of June, 1870, it is ordered by the said Board as follows:
That is to say—
Whereas under an Act to provide for “Drainage of Lands for purposes of Gold Mining,” passed on the 20th day of October, 1868, by the General Assembly of New Zealand, and by authority of the same, the District of Jones’ Flat was by Proclamation on the 28th day of November, 1868, in the
