HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to disband the undermentioned Corps, viz. —

The Westland Light Horse Volunteers.
The No. 2 Company Westland Rifle Volunteers.

The undermentioned gentlemen have therefore ceased to hold the rank of officers, their commissions having, under the provisions of "The Volunteer Act, 1865," lapsed: —

Thomas Knowles Christian, Esq., late 1st Lieutenant, Westland Light Horse Volunteers;
George Ogilvie Preshaw, Esq., late Cornet, Westland Light Horse Volunteers;
William Evans, Esq., late Captain, No. 2 Company Westland Rifle Volunteers;
John Conway Frow, Esq., late Lieutenant, No. 2 Company Westland Rifle Volunteers,
W. Gisborne,
(In the absence of Mr. M’Lean.)

Thomas Henry Garland, Esq.,
to be a Medical Referee under the "Government Annuities Act, 1869."

THE Chairman of the County Council directs it to be notified for general information that Mr. Edward Jones has resigned his appointment as a member of the Jones’ Flat Mining Drainage Board.

THE Chairman of the County Council directs it to be notified for general information that he has appointed Mr. Gilbert Everingham to be a member of the Jones’ Flat Mining Drainage Board in the room of Mr. Edward Jones resigned.

PURSUANT to Section 13 of "The Gold Mining Claims Drainage Act, 1868," I hereby publish for general information Bye Laws Nos. 9 and 10 of the Jones’ Flat Mining Drainage Board under the powers delegated to me in that behalf by His Excellency the Governor.
