IT is hereby notified for general information that, until further notice,
Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.,
Warden, will take charge of the Resident Magistrate’s and Warden’s District of Totara, and the Warden’s District of Kanieri; and
Charles Cockburn Schaw, Esq., R.M.,
Warden, will take charge of the Arahura District, as such Districts are defined in "The County of Westland Act, 1868."

THE Chairman of the County Council directs it to be notified that
William Ruddy
has been declared duly elected to serve as a Member of the Kanieri Road Board, in the room of Thomas Farrell, resigned.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, 1869.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the tenth section of "The Public Revenues Act, 1867," it is enacted "It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to make regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, directing the manner in which, and the times at which, and the bank or banks into which, all such moneys shall be paid into the Public Account, and for the return of full and sufficient accounts relating to all such moneys, and for the guidance of all persons in the public service concerned in the receipt, custody, and expenditure thereof; and all such Regulations shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and shall come into force upon a day to be named therein, and a copy of such Regulations shall be laid before both Houses of the General Assembly."
And whereas by the "The Public Revenues Act, 1868," it is amongst other things enacted that "The Public Revenues Act, 1868," shall be read and construed as part of "The Public Revenues Act, 1867." And whereas by the third section of "The Public Revenues Act, 1868," it is enacted, "All moneys now or hereafter legally payable to the Colonial Treasurer, or to any other person in the public service, on account of Intestate Estates, in Bankruptcy, moneys received on account of Native Reserves, moneys paid by the Postmaster-General into the Public Account on Post Office Money Order Account and on Post Office Savings Bank Account, and all other moneys which shall be paid to the Government to be held in trust for the uses of private persons, and which are not liable to be appropriated for...
ERRATUM.
In the County of Westland Gazette, of 17th February, 1869, No. 4, page 17, in the notice calling for tenders for leasing the Kawhaka Toll-gate, in the fifth line, for "four weeks" read "four months."
