REGULATION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF GREYMOUTH, MADE UNDER THE FOURTH SUB-DIVISION OF THE TENTH PART OF THE THIRTEENTH SCHEDULE OF “THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1867.”
That is to say—
PEDLARS AND HAWKERS.
Every pedlar and hawker trading within the Borough of Greymouth shall pay to the Borough Fund for their license, and for the registration of their names, the sum of two pounds two shillings; and such license shall continue in force for twelve calendar months, and no longer.
Passed by the Council this twenty-seventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

That is to say—
CARTS AND CARTERS.
Every cart, woodcart, and watercart plying for hire within the prescribed space for the said borough of Greymouth shall be licensed; and any carter or other person applying for such license shall pay to the Council the sum of Twenty Shillings, and such license shall remain in force for twelve calendar months and no longer.
Passed by the said Council this twenty-seventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

I, the undersigned JOSHUA GIBSON, hereby make application to register “The Croesus Gold Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that, the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular:—

The name and style of the Company is “THE CROESUS GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED.”

The place of business is at Donoghue’s, Totara.

The nominal capital of the Company is (£2400) two thousand four hundred pounds sterling, in (80) eighty shares of (£30) thirty pounds each, of which (£16 17s. 6d.) sixteen pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence per share has been allowed to the present shareholders, as paid up on their shares for their interest in claims, machinery, &c.

The amount already paid is (£1350) thirteen hundred and fifty pounds sterling, the allowance to the present shareholders as mentioned in clause 3.

The name of the Manager is Joshua Gibson.

The Office of the Company is at Donoghue’s.
