Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS, by the 8th section of "The Wellington Waste Land Regulations Amendment Act, 1871," the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington is empowered to withdraw from sale at any time, by Proclamation, any Waste Lands of the Crown which may appear expedient for public interests should be so withdrawn:
Now, therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the powers vested in me by the above-recited Act, do hereby withdraw from sale so much of the Waste Lands of the Crown in the Rangitumua Block, in the Wairarapa District; in the Parae-Karetu Block, in the Porewa District; in the Pabaua Block, in the East Coast District; and in the township of Fitzherbert, in the Manawatu District, as are set forth and more fully described in the Schedule hereto.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this fourth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

SCHEDULE.
WAIRARAPA DISTRICT.
Rangitumau Block.
All that parcel of land in the Rangitumau Block, containing by estimation eleven thousand acres, more or less, the boundary of which commences at the north-east corner of section No. 190, township of Alfredton, and runs thence easterly along the southern boundaries of the selections of A. Jackson and J. Chew, to the south-east corner of the latter; thence northerly along its eastern boundary to section No. 130, Rangitumau Block; thence along the southern boundaries of sections Nos. 130 and 128, to the south-east corner of the latter; thence southerly in a straight line to a point on the right bank of the Taueru River, opposite the northern boundary line of section No. 157, Whareama Block; thence along the right bank of the said river to the northern boundary of section No. 143, Rangitumau Block; thence along the boundaries of the said section and of sections Nos. 144, 148, and 149, so as to exclude the same, to the northern boundary of section No. 225; thence by lines so as to exclude sections Nos. 225, 224, 223, the selection of W. Donald, sections Nos. 26, 25, 14, and 13, and the selections of W. T. Clapham, R. Bould and C. Taylor, A. K. Arnott, Saunders and M’Hardie, and D. Hobbs, to the southern boundary of section No. 81, township of Alfredton; thence along the boundaries of the said township so as to exclude the same, and also the selection of L. Stewart, to the starting point.
