the Tararua Range; towards the south-east by the summit of the Tararua Range;
towards the south-west by the Manawatu
River and by the south boundary lines of
the Township of Fitzherbert, from the
point where the south-west boundary of
the Ahuataranga Block leaves the Manawatu River, and crosses in a south-easterly
direction to the summit of the Tararua
Ranges; and towards the west by the
Oroua River.
WARD No. 5.
Bounded towards the north-east by a
line from the north-east corner of section
number 422, Township of Palmerston, to
the north-west corner of section number
446, by the same line produced to the
Oroua River, and by lines so as to include
sections numbers 246, 247, 248, 249, 251,
230, 177, 176, and 387, by the Manawatu
River, and by a line bearing 135° magnetic from the north corner of Te Wi
Native Reserve to the summit of the
Tararua Range; towards the south-east by
the summit of the Tararua Range; towards
the south-west by the north-east boundary
lines of Ward No. 4, and towards the
north-west by the Oroua River, excepting
always the Palmerston North Local Board
District, the boundaries of which are de-
fined in the schedule to a Proclamation by
his Honor the Superintendent, bearing
date the 28th day of February, 1876.
WARD No. 6.
Bounded towards the north by the
Oroua River, and by a line bearing east
magnetic from the source of the said river
to the summit of the Ruahine Range;
towards the east by the summit of the
Ruahine and Tararua Ranges; towards
the south-west by the north-east boundary
lines of Ward No. 5; and towards the
north-west by the Oroua River, excepting
always that part of the Manchester Highway District which lies within the above
boundaries, and which district is defined
in the schedule to a Proclamation by his
Honor the Superintendent, bearing date
the 25th day of February, 1876.
WARD No. 7.
Bounded towards the north-east by the
Manawatu River, and by the south-west
boundary of Ward No. 4; towards the
east by the summit of the Tararua Ranges;
towards the south-east by the south-west
boundaries of the Manawatu Highway
District, between the summit of the Tararua Range and the mouth of the Waikanae
River; and towards the north-west by the
sea coast.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15,
Session XL, of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and
decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New
Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned persons having been
duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively entitled to Crown Grants of the land set against their names in the annexed
Schedule.
