SCHOOL TEACHER'S CERTIFICATE.

The Education Board of the Province of Wellington, New Zealand, hereby certify that

was examined and passed in the month of 18, according to the course of study prescribed by the Education Board, which answers to the degree of merit.

This Certificate issued at the above date is limited to the proof of attainments and skill by examination. The Education Board are aware that there are other qualifications not less necessary to the success of a teacher in the management of a school.

The Inspector on his visit to a school conducted by the possessor of this Certificate will, therefore, once a year, enter at its foot a brief account of the condition of the school.

This Certificate is issued as a Certificate of the Third Division of the Class. After three satisfactory reports of the state of the school under the management of the holder of this Certificate, or after two exceedingly good reports, the Inspector will certify that the Certificate has been raised one division. Should the possessor of this or a Second Class Certificate sit for examination and obtain a Certificate of a higher class, such higher Certificate will be issued in the highest division certified on the lower class certificate.

No Teacher will be able to rise from one Class or Degree of Merit to another except by examination.
