Reports.

(From New Zealand Gazette, 9th September, 1875.)

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereof from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned persons having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively entitled to Crown Grants of the land set against their names in the annexed Schedule.

1587 1113 Peirce Cotter Entitled to a Crown Grant of the Rural Section No. 83, in the Valley of the Hutt. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 27th July, 1854.
1588 1364 Thos. Dalton MacManaman Entitled to a Crown Grant of about 75 acres, more or less, part of Rural Section No. 10, Porirua District. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 7th July, 1857.

Construction Order.

The following Construction Order has been received from the Chairman of the Rangitikei Highway Board:—

"That the Board having considered the objections against the opening of the road from the Turakina Valley road to section No. CCLXVI., hereby order the opening of the said road, in accordance with the plan as advertised for inspection; also the road leading from Tutaenui road to the Tutaenui stream, as an outlet from section No. XXXVII., has been dealt with in the same manner; and it is also hereby ordered that the said road be opened, in accordance with the plan as advertised for inspection."

Under the provisions of the thirty-third clause of "The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint that the objections referred to in the above resolution shall be heard at the Superintendent’s Office, in the buildings belonging to the Provincial Government, on the Reclaimed Land, in the City of Wellington, on Monday, the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, at twelve o’clock noon.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this 27th day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
