PROCLAMATION
By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all reserves for the sites of townships or suburban lands, or for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent who shall notify the same by Proclamation wherein the object shall be specified for which any such reserve shall be made.
And whereas it would be of public advantage if a certain section of land in the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, and which is fully set forth and described in the schedule hereto, were set apart as a Reserve for public purposes.
Now, therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that section No. 1536, in the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, containing three hundred and forty (340) acres more or less, is hereby reserved and set apart by me as a Reserve for public purposes.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this 21st day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement three hundred and forty (340) acres more or less, being the rural section No. 1536 on the plan of the township of Palmerston, in the Manawatu District, bounded towards the north-west by a public road; towards the east and north-east by a Native reserve; towards the south and south-east by the Manawatu river; and towards the south-west by sections Nos. 372, 373, and 374, three thousand seven hundred and eighty (3780) links.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned persons, having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively entitled to Crown Grants of the land set against their names in the annexed Schedule.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Lost Land Order Act, 1861,” to hear and decide claims for Crown Grants of lands for which the original land orders have been lost or destroyed, report that the claim of Mary Palfrey, late of Deal, in the County of Kent, but now of Addiscombe, in the County of Surrey, in England, having been referred to me, I do hereby decide that the aforesaid claimant is entitled to Crown Grants of the land selected in right of Land Order No. 910, issued by the New Zealand Company to William Palfrey, 1st August, 1839.
