Wanganui and Waitotara Highway Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that a plan, section, and specification of a proposed road, commencing at the Waitotara Lower Road, at a point a little west of Mr. John Handley’s land, and terminating at the sea-beach at the mouth of the Otatika Stream; together with a schedule of the lands intersected by the said road, and of the owners, lessees, and occupiers of such lands, are now deposited for public inspection at the office of the above Board, in Ridgway-street, Wanganui; and that any person desiring to make any objection or suggestion respecting the said proposed road, must do so in writing, addressed to the Board, within forty days from the date hereof.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

I, WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby in pursuance of the regulations in this behalf, proclaim and notify that the several allotments of land situated in the Akitio Block, in the East Coast District, and in the Parae Karetu Block, in the Porewa District, in the Province of Wellington, and specified in the Schedule hereto, except such as may be reserved under the provision hereinafter mentioned, will be put up for sale by public auction at the Crown Lands Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, at twelve o’clock noon.

If at any time during the sale, it shall appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the sections specified in the said Schedule, or to vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
