I, WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington do hereby appoint that the first meeting of the Masterton Highway Board shall take place on Saturday next (8th instant,) at 7 o’clock p.m., at Masterton, in the office of the Board.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has appointed Thursday, the 13th day of May, at 12 o’clock noon, for the first meeting of the Taratahi and Carterton Highway Board, to be held at the Pioneer Home, Taratahi.

Proclamation.
By his Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the land regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all reserves for the sites of townships or suburban lands for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent, who shall notify the same by proclamation, wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made. And whereas it would be of public advantage if a certain section of land in the Taratahi Plain Block, in the Wairarapa District, the boundaries of which are fully described and set forth in the schedule hereto, were set apart as a reserve for a Cemetery.
Now, therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that section number three hundred and forty-eight (348), in the Taratahi Plain Block, in the Wairarapa District, containing forty (40) acres, more or less, shall be, and the same is hereby reserved and set apart for a Cemetery.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land containing forty (40) acres more or less being the Section number three hundred and forty eight (348) on the plan of the Taratahi plain Block in the Wairarapa district, bounded towards the North by sections numbers 190 and 202, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-six (1996) links; towards the East by section number 202, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine (1999) links; towards the South by section number 128, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-six (1996) links; and towards the West by section number 300, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-seven (1997) links.
