Sir,—I have the honor to present the return of sheep for the East Coast District for the year ending 31st December, 1873. As there will be many large contracts for fencing completed this season, we may fairly expect a more favorable report next year, as the owners of diseased flocks will then be enabled to make clean musters. I am afraid it may be some years before several of the large rough runs now infected can be pronounced clean.
I have the honor to be, Sir,
Your obedient servant,
Henry Bunny, Esq.,
Provincial Secretary, Wellington.
Thomas Telford,
Inspector of Sheep, East Coast.
Public Notice.
Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 14th January, 1874.
NOTICE is hereby given, that unless the undermentioned person shall, within three months of this date, prove to my satisfaction that he has fulfilled all the conditions required of him by “The Waste Lands Act, 1858,” the land he has selected, in virtue of a Land Order issued to him, will be forfeited.
Jos. G. Holdsworth,
Commissioner of Crown Lands.
