tained in the thirteenth section of
"The Highways Act, 1871," His Honor
the Superintendent has appointed

DAVID SPEEDY

to be a Warden for Ward No. 4 of the
Wellington Highway District, in the place
of Henry Stilling, resigned.

Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esquire, C.M.G., Superinten-
dent of the Province of Wel-
lington, in the Colony of New
Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provin-
cial Council of the said Province of
Wellington, Session III. No. 8, intituled
"An Act to amend and consolidate the
law relating to Cattle Trespass and Im-
pounding," it is enacted that the Super-
intendent of the said Province may from
time to time by proclamation declare any
pound to be or cease to be a public pound
within the meaning of the said Act, and
may in like manner appoint, suspend, re-
move, and re-appoint keepers of such
pounds. Now therefore I, William Fitz-
herbert, Superintendent of the said Pro-
vince, do hereby proclaim and declare the
stockyard of Walter Allan Grant Winch-
combe, erected on section No. 79, in the
township of Wairoa, in the Province of
Wellington aforesaid, to be a public pound
within the meaning of the said Act, and
that Walter Allan Grant Winchcombe be
the Keeper thereof.

(L.S.) Wellington, this twenty-eighth
day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-
three.

Zealand Company's Land Claimants
Ordinance, Session XI., No. 15, I do
hereby report that it is expedient that the
legal estate in the land specified in a
Report dated the first of May, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-one, No. 1212,
published in the New Zealand Gazette,
twenty-first June, one thousand eight hun-
dred and sixty-one, No. 30, in favour of
Robert Richmond, should be deemed to
have been in the claimant from and after
the fourteenth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and forty-nine.
