Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by "The Local Boards Act, 1873," do hereby proclaim and appoint that a meeting of persons qualified to vote for the election of Commissioners for the Foxton Local Board District, under the said Act, shall be held at the Court House, Foxton, on Monday the First day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, at 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of electing five persons to constitute the Board of Commissioners for the said District.
And further, I do hereby appoint Thomas Uppadine Cook, the Returning Officer at such meeting, for the Election of Commissioners as aforesaid.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this 13th day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Warrant.
WHEREAS it has been notified to me that Mr. Henry Stilling has resigned his seat as member of the Wellington Highway Board, for Ward No. 4, of the Wellington Highway District.
Now, therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the "Highways Act, 1871," do hereby appoint that for Ward No. 4, of the Wellington Highway District, the voters qualified to vote for the election of a Warden in such Ward shall meet at the premises of Mr. Farmer, Lower Hutt, on Monday, the 1st day of September next, at 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of electing a Warden for such Ward.
And I do hereby appoint Henry Ashton to be presiding officer at the said meeting, as aforesaid.

His Honor the Superintendent has appointed a meeting for the election of a Warden for Ward 4 of the Wellington Highway District, to be held at the premises of Mr. Farmer, Lower Hutt, on Monday, the 1st day of September, 1873, at 12 o’clock noon.
Henry Ashton has been appointed presiding officer for such meeting, as aforesaid.

Highway Notice.
A PLAN, Section, and Specification of a proposed road, extending from the proposed "Waitotara Road" at a point on the Western bank of the Mowhanau Stream to the sea beach just eastward of the mouth of the "Kai Iwi River;" and a list of the owners, lessees, and occupiers of the lands intersected thereby have been deposited at the office of the Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board, Taupo Quay, Wanganui, where they are now lying for public inspection. Any persons wishing to make any objection or suggestion in reference to the proposed road must do so in writing, addressed to the Board.

His Honor the Superintendent has confirmed the following Construction Order, passed by the Wanganui and Waitotara Highway Board:—
Highway Construction Order.
The several preliminary requirements of the "Highways Act, 1871," having been complied with, touching the matter of a new road from the Westmere Gate to Mr. D. Pears’ western boundary, and no objections having been offered to forming the same, the Board hereby make an order directing the work to be executed according to the specifications, maps, plans, and sections, which have been deposited in the office of the Board; and they direct true copies of these specifications, &c., to be transmitted to His Honor the Superintendent for further action in the matter.
