Marton Local Board District.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the said Province of Wellington, Session XXIV., No. 5, intituled "The Local Boards Act, 1873," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the inhabitants of any locality in the Province of Wellington, exclusive of the inhabitants of the towns of Wellington and Wanganui, to apply by petition to the Superintendent of the Province praying that in such locality a Board of Commissioners may be appointed, with the several powers and authorities given by the said Act, and that on the receipt of any such petition the Superintendent of the said Province may issue a proclamation declaring that the provisions of the said Act shall come into force within such locality, and that such locality shall thereafter be termed a district. And whereas a petition has been received by me from the inhabitants of the township of Marton, in the Rangitikei district, signed by the required number of inhabitants, praying that the said township may be constituted a district under the said Act. Now, therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the said Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and declare that the block of land bounded towards the south by a line starting from the point where the dividing boundary line between Sections 14 and 15, as described in the survey map of the said district, meets the Tutaenui stream; thence westerly along such dividing line to the extremity, where it meets a line of road known as the Pukepapa line; thence bounded towards the west by the westerly boundaries of Sections 15, 16, 17, and 18; thence towards the north by the northern boundary of Section 18 to the extremity of such boundary where it meets the Tutaenui stream; thence bounded towards the east by the course of the Tutaenui stream to the point of starting, viz., the eastern end of the dividing line between Sections 14 and 15, and containing within the said boundaries two hundred and ninety (290) acres, more or less, shall be, and the same is hereby constituted a district under the said Act. That the said district shall be called and known as "Marton," and that the provisions of the said Act shall come into force within the said "Marton District" from and after this date.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Bulls Local Board District.
PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the said Provincial Council of the said Province of Wellington, Session XXIV., No. 5, intituled "The Local Boards Act, 1873," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the inhabitants of any locality in the Province of Wellington, exclusive of the inhabitants of the towns of Wellington and Wanganui, to apply by petition to the Superintendent of the Province, praying that in such locality a Board of Commissioners may be appointed, with the several powers and authorities given by the said Act, and that on receipt of any such petition the Superintendent of the said Province may issue a proclamation declaring that the provisions of the said Act shall come into force within such locality, and that such locality shall thereafter be termed a district. And whereas a petition has been received by me from the inhabitants of a certain part of the Rangitikei District, signed by the required number of inhabitants, praying that the boundaries hereinafter specified may be constituted a district under the said Act. Now therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the said Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and declare that the block of land bounded on the East by the Rangitikei River; on the South-west by the western boundary line of section No. 40; thence by the south-west boundary of Messrs. J. and D. M'Hardie's land to the main road from Scott's to Bulls; thence by the said main road to the south boundary of Block No. III.; thence by the south boundary line of Block No. III. to the Tutaenui Stream; on the North-west by the Tutaenui Stream to the Great North-western Road from Bulls to Wanganui; thence by the said road to the boundary of the Rangitikei township, thence by the north-west boundary of the said township to the main road from Bull's to Marton; thence by the east side of the said main road to the northern boundary of land purchased by James Bull from Edward Daniell; and on the North-east by the north-eastern boundary of said land to Rangitikei River, and containing within the said boundaries six hundred and seventy (670) acres, more or less, shall be and the same is hereby constituted a district under the said Act. That the said district shall be called and known as "Bull's District," and that the provisions of the said Act shall come into force within the said Bull's District from and after this date.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
