✨ Building Regulations and Licenses
If the building be more than twenty-five feet, and not more than forty feet high, the thickness of the external walls or party wall must be at least 17½ inches from the top of the footing to the underside of the floor next below the topmost floor, and at least thirteen inches from the underside of the floor next below the topmost floor to the underside of the topmost floor, and at least 8½ inches from thence to the top of the wall.
If the building be more than forty feet high, the thickness of the external and party walls must be at least 21½ inches from the top of the footing to the underside of the floor next below the topmost floor, and at least 17½ inches from thence to the underside of the floor, and at least thirteen inches from thence to the top of the wall.

Before proceeding to erect, alter, add to, or renew any building, or to execute any other work placed under the control and supervision of the City Council in these regulations, the builder, owner, or occupier, shall pay to the Town Clerk of the City of Wellington the fee due upon the same according to the foregoing Schedule.
The foregoing regulations were passed by the City Council of Wellington at a meeting of the Council, held on Monday, the 23rd day of December, 1872, and confirmed by the said Council at a meeting held on Monday, the 3rd day of February, 1873.

I, WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, under the powers conferred by “The Protection of Animals Act, 1867,” do hereby cancel the Proclamation published in the Wellington Provincial Gazette, dated the twenty-first day of May, 1873, authorizing the shooting of game in the Province of Wellington.
