Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, G.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the said Province of Wellington, Session III, No.8 intituled “An act to amend and consolidate the law, relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding,” it is enacted that the Superintendent of the said Province, may from time to time by Proclamation declare any Pound to be or cease to be a Public Pound, within the meaning of the said Act, and may in like manner appoint, suspend, remove, and re-appoint keepers of such Pounds.

Now, therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby proclaim and declare the Stockyard of Mr. William Joseph Tingey, Hotel-keeper, Kai Iwi, in the Wanganni District in the Province of Wellington aforesaid, to be a Public Pound within the meaning of the said Act, and that William Joseph Tingey be the Keeper thereof.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Notice for Resident Magistrates and Justices of the Peace.

RESIDENT Magistrates and Justices of the Peace are requested to forward, along with the Warrant committing Lunatics to the Asylum, the necessary Medical Certificates, &c., in accordance with Section No. 15 of the “Lunatics Act 1868.”

Public Notice.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 26th Oct 1872.

NOTICE is hereby given that 1616 acres of Pastoral Land, in the Wainuiomata District, and 2048 acres in the Tiraumea Block, in the East Coast District, will be put up for sale by public Auction, at this office, on Thursday, the 28th day of November next, at noon. Plans of the land are open for inspection at this office.
