Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of Provincial Council of Wellington, Session XXII, No. 11, it is enacted, among other things, that the Superintendent may, with the advice and consent of his Executive Council for the time being, by proclamation, divide the Province into such number of districts as he may think proper, and in like manner from time to time sub-divide, alter, unite, or re-unite the same, or any part thereof, and may appoint such number of Inspectors or Sub-Inspectors for the purposes of this Act as he may think fit, and assign them to such districts as he shall deem proper, and may also appoint the Inspector of Sheep in each district to be Registrar of Sheep Brands within such district under the rules and regulations set forth in the schedule of the said Act.

Now, therefore, I William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, by virtue and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of the Province now known as the Wanganui and Rangitikei Sheep Inspector’s District, shall be divided into two separate districts by the Whangaehue River; the northern portion being called the Wanganui District, and the southern portion being called the Rangitikei District.

And I, the said William Fitzherbert, in further exercise of the power and authority in me vested, do appoint

ROBERT KIRKPATRICK SIMPSON
Inspector of Sheep and Registrar of Brands for the Rangitikei District, and

JOSEPH WILLIAM JORDAN
Inspector of Sheep and Registrar of Brands for the Wanganui District.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

NOTICE is hereby given that sittings of the Supreme Court for the despatch of business accruing under "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867," "The Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act, 1868," and "The Bankruptcy Acts Amendment Act, 1870," will be holden at the Court House, Wanganui, on Wednesday, 30th October, 1872, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.
