ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At Napier, this fifth day of April, 1872.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by "The Marine Act, 1867," it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may fix the pilotage rates which shall be payable at each port, not being greater than the rates specified in the Schedule to the said Act:

And whereas, by Order in Council dated the sixth day of October, 1869, and made under the provision of the said Act, certain pilotage rates were fixed for the port of Wanganui: And whereas it is expedient to fix other rates in lieu thereof as and in manner hereinafter mentioned:

Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, doth hereby fix the rates set forth in the Schedule hereto as and to be the pilotage rates to be levied and taken at the Port of Wanganui: And with the like advice and consent doth order that the said pilotage rates shall be levied and taken on and after the eleventh day of April, 1872, all former pilotage rates at the said port being from the said date repealed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1872.
Present:
The Honourable William Fox, Prime Minister, Presiding and Members of the Executive Council.

WHEREAS by "The Marine Act, 1867," it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, vary, and repeal by-laws and regulations for fixing the fees to be paid for licenses to be issued for or in respect of steam tugs, cargo boats, ballast boats, tank boats, lighters, watermen’s and other boats:

And whereas, by Order in Council dated the sixth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, and made under the provisions of the said Act, among other things, certain fees for licenses for cargo boats, ballast boats, and water-tank boats, stated and set forth in the Schedule to the said Order in Council were fixed to be levied and taken for the Port of Wellington as therein mentioned:

And whereas it is expedient to repeal the same:

Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, doth hereby repeal so much of the hereinbefore in part recited Order in Council as fixes the fees to be levied and taken for licenses for cargo boats, ballast boats, and water-tank boats, at the port of Wellington aforesaid; such repeal to take effect from and after the date hereof.

PASTORAL LAND.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 10th July, 1872.

THE undermentioned sections having been declared to be Pastoral Land, will be open for selection on and after Monday the 12th day of August next, viz:
Sections from 200 to 211 inclusive, in the Pahua Block, East Coast District, containing 9,928 acres.
Sections from 797 to 803 inclusive, in the Whareama Block, East Coast District, containing 4,638 acres; and about 3,360 acres of land in the same Block not yet subdivided into sections.

Plans of the Blocks are open for inspection at this office.
