westerly along the Kukutu Stream to the River Wanganui; thence it proceeds
northerly along the left bank of the said River Wanganui to the starting point.

WARD No. 5.

The boundary commences at a point on the Wanganui River, where the north-east
boundary line of Upokongoro Block number 1 strikes it; thence it proceeds northerly
along the left bank of the Rivers Wanganui and Ngamatea to the northern boundary of
the Province of Wellington; thence easterly along the said boundary line to the Upper
Waikato River; thence southerly along the left bank of the said river to its source;
thence in a straight line to the source of the river Wangaehu; thence southerly along
the right bank of the said river to the Otaika Block; thence westerly along the
northern boundary lines of the Wanganui purchased block and the Makirikiri Stream
to the south-west corner of section number 279; thence northerly along the eastern
boundary lines of Ward number 4, to the starting point.

WARD No. 6.

The boundary commences at the north-east corner of the Waipakura Native Reserve,
whence it proceeds easterly along the southern boundaries of Ward number 5 to the
River Wangaehu; thence southerly along the right bank of the said river to the
north-western corner of section number 245; thence westerly in a straight line to the
eastern corner of the Waikupa Native Reserve; thence north-westerly along the north-east boundary of the said reserve to the Kaukatea stream; thence westerly along the
said stream till it intersects a line bearing east, magnetic from the south-east corner of
section number 292; thence westerly along such line to the eastern boundary of Ward
number 3; and thence northerly along the eastern boundary lines of Wards numbers 3
and 4, to the starting point.

WARD No. 7.

Bounded towards the north by Ward number 6; towards the east by the right
bank of the Wangaehu River; towards the south by Ward number 2; and towards the
west by Ward number 3.

WARD No. 1.

Bounded towards the north and north-east by lines so as to include blocks
numbers CXVII, CXVIII, CXIX, CXX, CXXI, CXXII, CXXIII, CXXIV, CXXV,
CXXVI, and CXXVII, sections numbers 44, 48, 88, and 86, blocks numbers 268, 269,
271, and section number 36A, Rangitikei District; towards the south-east by the
Rangitikei River; towards the south-west by the shore of Cook’s Strait; and towards
the north-west by lines so as to include blocks numbers CXVII, CLXV, and CLXVII,
and by a line being the production of the north-west boundary line of the last-named
block to the shore of Cook’s Strait.

WARD No. 2.

Bounded towards the north by the Turakina River, by the Makirikiri Stream, and
by lines so as to include sections numbers 25, 28, 21, 19, 17, 43, 45, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51,
and 52, Turakina District; towards the east by lines so as to include sections numbers
56, 57, 57A, and 88, Turakina District; towards the south-east by lines so as to include
block number XCIX, and by the north-west boundary lines of Ward number 1; and
towards the south-west by the shore of Cook’s Strait.

WARD No. 3.

Bounded towards the north by lines so as to include sections numbers 34, 35, 36,
40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 51, 52, 53, 55, and 12, and block number VI, Rangitikei District;
towards the south-east by the Rangitikei River; towards the south by the northern
boundary line of Ward number 1; towards the south-west by the north-eastern boundary
lines of Ward number 1; and towards the north-west and west by the south-east
boundary lines of Ward number 2.
