IT has been notified to this office that at the Annual General Meeting of Ratepayers of the above District held on the 3rd inst. at the Ben Nevis Hotel, the following were elected Wardens.

and that Mr. James Bruce, Senr., and Mr. James Bowen, were appointed Auditors and Mr. Donald Lowry, Collector.

South Makara School District.

IT has been notified to this office that MR. MCLEAVEY has resigned his appointment as Collector for the above District, and that MR. WM. COOPER has been appointed in his stead.

Sheep Inspectors’ Reports.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 10th Sept., 1869.

THE Sub-Inspector of Sheep for the Wellington and West Coast District reports that he has received the following notices of Scab.

7th September, from D. Richards, Kaiawa, Porirua Bay, in consequence of infected Sheep mixing with his flock from the flock of J. T. Edwards, Porirua Bay.

10th September, from Messrs. A. & J. Wall, Pukerua, in consequence of their finding three Sheep in their flock infected with Scab.

That the certificates of the said flocks have been cancelled.

THE Inspector of Sheep for Wanganui reports that he had on the 6th August cancelled the clean certificate of Mr. W. J. Holder, Wanganui.

To His Honor the Superintendent,

Sir,—I have the honor to report that yesterday, the 7th September, I went with Mr. J. W. Jordan and Mr. R. K. Simpson to inspect the flock of Sheep that came down from Messrs. Jacob Joseph and Co’s., run, Manawatu, and to report that we find them free from Scab.

I enclose copy of certificate granted.

WE the undersigned Inspectors of Sheep having examined again the flock of Sheep that came down from Messrs. Jacob Joseph’s run, Manawatu, for Messrs. Crawford and McBarnett, are of opinion that they are free from Scab.
