PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Province of New Munster, and of all the other Provinces and Territories of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act passed in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An Act to amend the Laws relating to the Registration of Deeds and Documents in the Province of New Munster,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation, declare any place or places within the Province to be a District for the purposes of such Act, and may appoint a Registrar for such District, and may also appoint a Deputy Registrar for such District; and whereas it is expedient that the District of Wellington should be constituted a District for the purposes of the said Act, and that a Registrar and a Deputy Registrar should be appointed for such District:
NOW THEREFORE I, the said Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that the District of Wellington shall be a District for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby appoint William Henry Williams, Esq., to be Registrar for the said District, and John William Smith, Esq., to be Deputy Registrar for the said District.
Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Province of New Munster, at Wellington, this seventh day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, and in the twenty-eighth year of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria.

NOTICE.
The Registrar of Deeds for the District of Wellington hereby gives notice that the Office for the registration of Deeds and Documents will be opened at the Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the thirteenth day of February, 1865.
