PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the parts of the said Province lying within the boundaries hereinafter specified are for the purposes of the District Highways Act annexed to and shall form part of the Whareama Highway District.

The Boundary commences at the mouth of the Whakataki River and follows the sea coast to the Mataekoua River, thence up the said River until it meets the north western boundary of Section No. 411 (Tollemache’s purchase) Whareama District, thence along said boundary to its junction with the Tinui River, thence up said river to the north eastern corner of Maunsell’s purchased land, thence along the north western and northern boundaries of said purchase to their junction with the Whareama River, thence down the said river to its junction with the Makirikiri Stream, thence in a straight line towards the Porotawai Trigonometrical Station until it meets the Flag Creek, being the north western corner of the Whareama Highway District, proclaimed the twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six. As the said boundaries are delineated in the plan drawn or endorsed hereon or hereto annexed and thereon coloured red.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twentieth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

holden at Wellington:

In the matter of the Bankruptcy Act, 1867, and in the matter of the petition for adjudication filed by Joseph Bull and Edward Bull.

On Friday, this twenty seventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, upon reading the petition of Joseph Bull and Edward Bull, the list of their creditors, and of the amounts due to them, and the statement shewing their property, and the value thereof, and the affidavit verifying the said list and statement. It is ordered that the said Petition be accepted, and that Joseph Bull and Edward Bull, bankrupts, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said Joseph Bull be held on Saturday, the 18th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, at twelve o’clock at the Grand Jury Room, in the Court House at Wellington, for the purpose of choosing assignees, and a fit person to be the Trustee of the Estate and Effects of the said Joseph Bull and Edward Bull, and for the purpose of giving fit persons as supervisors of the Estate.

Native Land Court

Native Land Court of Auckland.

Whereas by an Order made on the 29th day of November last, it was ordered by His Excellency the Governor in Council, under the provisions of the “Native Lands Act, 1867,” on the claim of Aperahama Tipae and others, a piece of land called Te Waikupenga, at Whanganui, in the District of Wanganui, Province of Wellington, to be determined by the Native Land Court of New Zealand, on the 17th day of January next, and that such rehearing should take place before the said Court and that such rehearing shall take place on the first day of April next. Now I hereby give notice that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Whanganui on the fifth day of February next, for the hearing of the aforesaid claim.
