PROCLAMATION.

Featherston, Esq., Superin-
tendent of the Province of
Wellington, in the Islands of
New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Second
Session of the General Council of
Wellington, No. 6, intituled “An Act
to Promote the Establishment of Common
Schools in the Province of Wellington,”
it is enacted that, for the purposes of
said Act, it should be lawful for the Su-
perintendent by Proclamation to divide
the Province into Districts and from
time to time to sub-divide such Districts
and to re-unite any sub-divisions. And
also, by Proclamation, to declare that the
said Act should come into operation
within such District or sub-division at
such time as he might appoint. And
whereas it is deemed expedient to
proclaim that portion of the Province
within the boundaries hereinafter set
forth to be a District for the purposes
of the said Act. Now therefore I, Isaac
Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the
Province of Wellington, in virtue of the
power and authority vested in me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that such portion of the said Province as
is comprised within the following boun-
daries shall form and constitute a Dis-
trict for the purposes of the said Act to
be called the Kai Warra Warra School
District.

The boundary commences at the north
west corner of section No. 9, Harbor
District thence, along northern boun-
daries of said section to high water mark
of Port Nicholson, thence along the beach
until it meets the northern boundary of
the Town Belt of Wellington, thence
along northern and eastern boundaries of
the said Town Belt to the north east corner
of section No. 80 Kai Warra Warra
District, thence along the northern boun-
dary of said section No. 30 and of sections
Nos. 31 and 33 of Kai Warra Warra
District until it intersects the southern
boundary of a district known as Rhodes’
Highway District, thence along southern
and western boundaries of said district
as far as the south west corner of section
No. 7 of the Kai Warra Warra District,
thence along western boundary of said
section No. 7 to its point of intersection
with the southern boundary of section
No. 9 of said District of Kai Warra
Warra thence along the southern, western
and northern boundaries of said section
No. 9, thence along western boundaries
of unappropriated land and of sections
Nos. 1 and 2 of the Porirua District,
thence along northern boundary of section
No. 2 aforesaid to its intersection with
western boundary of said section No. 6
Harbour District, thence along western
boundary of the said section No. 6
and of section No. 7 to its intersection
with southern boundary of section No. 8
thence along southern and western boun-
daries of said section Nos. 8, and of
western boundary of section No. 9 to the
starting point.

And also that the said Act shall come
into operation within such district on
the day of the date hereof.
