is deemed expedient to proclaim that portion of the Province within the boundaries hereinafter set forth to be a District for the purposes of the said Act. Now therefore I Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that such portion of the said Province as is comprised within the following boundaries shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the said Act, to be called "The Western Rangitikei School District," which said District shall be bounded as follows, namely:—By the Northern boundaries of the Agricultural Reserve No. 2 of Blocks No. LV, LVII and LVIII to the North-East corner of Block No. LVIII; thence Southerly by the Eastern boundary of the said Block to the Tutaenui Stream; thence by the said Stream to the South-east corner of Section LXV; thence along the Southern boundary of the said Section till intersected by a line being a production of the road line between Sections 19 and 20; thence by said line Southerly till it meets the production of the Northern boundary of Block No. LXIV; thence Westerly by such line and Northern boundary of the said Block No. LXIV to the Omuha Stream and by the Omuha Stream to the boundary of the Turakina and Rangitikei Districts and thence North by the said boundary to the starting point.

And also that the said Act shall come into operation within such District on the day of the date hereof.

Warehama Road District.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.

I ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province Wellington, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parts of the said Province lying within the limits hereinafter specified shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the District Highways Acts, viz.:—

A line commencing at the mouth of the Wakataki river thence up that river to where it is crossed by the main line of road; thence along the main line of road to the Whareama river; thence up that river to the mouth of Flag Creek; thence up that stream to its source; thence Southerly along the Western boundary of Buxton’s run to the North-east corner of Section No. 289; thence Westerly to the North-west corner of Section No. 290; thence Southerly along the Western boundary of Section No. 290 to the Mangapakea river; thence by a line to Trigonometrical Station on the top of Poronui hill; thence along the Western boundary of Cameron Brothers property to Biscuit Creek; thence by that stream to its junction with the Kauminga stream; thence up that stream to its source; thence by a straight line to Trigonometrical Station Cameron’s boundary; thence by a straight line to Trigonometrical Station Rewa Rewa; thence by a line to the source of the Patanui stream; thence down that stream to the sea coast; thence by the sea to the point of commencement; and that such district shall be called the "Warehama Road District."

Tenders for Printing.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 24th Oct., 1866.

TENDERS for Printing the Provincial Government Gazette and Forms, for the period comprised within the 20th of November, 1866, and the 30th of June, 1867, will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 19th November. The conditions, &c., are in all respects similar to those exhibited when the annual tenders were received in June last.

Public Notice.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 26th October, 1866.

NOTICE is hereby given that by the “Crown Grants Act, 1866,” passed on the 8th instant, a fee of sixpence is chargeable for every month during which a Crown Grant shall be left in this Office after the expiration of two months from the passing of the said Act.
