Commencing at the South-east corner of Section No. 1 Ohariu District thence along the Southern boundary of said Section to the South-west corner thence a line to the North-west corner of said Section thence along the Southern boundary of Section No. 3 to the South-west corner of said Section thence along the Western boundaries of Sections Nos. 3 4 7 8 11 12 to the North-west corner of Section No. 12 thence a line to the South-west corner of Section No. 16 thence along the Western boundaries of Sections Nos. 16 19 22 25 28 31 34 35 and 36 to the North-west corner of Section No. 36 thence a line to the South-west corner of Section No. 37 thence a line to the North-west corner of said Section thence a line to the North-east corner thence a line to the South-east corner thence a line to the North-east corner of Section No. 36 thence a line to the South-east corner of Section No. 35 thence a line to the North-east corner of Section No. 33 thence along the Eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 33 32 30 29 27 26 24 23 21 20 18 17 15 and 14 to the South-east corner of Section No. 14 thence a straight line to the South-west corner of Section No. 3 Porirua District thence a straight line to the commencing point the South-east corner of Section No. 1 Ohariu District.

And also that the said Act shall come into operation within such District on the day of the date hereof.

Defining the Lower Hutt School District

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the second Session of the Provincial Council of Wellington No. 6 intituled “An Act to promote the establishment of common schools in the Province of Wellington” it is enacted that for the purposes of the said Act it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to divide the Province into Districts and from time to time to subdivide such Districts and to reunite any subdivisions and also by Proclamation to declare that the said Act should come into operation within such District or subdivision at such time as he might appoint And whereas it is deemed expedient to proclaim that portion of the Province within the boundaries hereinafter set forth to be a District for the purposes of the said Act Now therefore I Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that such portion of the said Province as is comprised within the following boundaries shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the said Act to be called “The Lower Hutt School District” which said District shall be bounded as follows namely:—

Commencing at the South-west corner of Section No. 309 thence along the Southern boundary of said Section and Northern boundary of Section No. 109 to the North-east corner of said Section No. 109 thence a line to the North-west corner of Section No. 300 thence a line to the North-east corner of said Section No. 300 thence a line to the North-west corner of Section No. 186 thence a line to the North-east corner of said Section thence a line to the North-west corner of Section No. 75 thence along its Northern boundary to its North-east corner thence a line to the South-west corner of section No. 38 thence along the Northern boundaries of sections Nos. 36 and 36 to the North-east corner of section No. 36 thence in a line to the South-west corner of section No. 40 thence in a line to the North-east corner of section No. 34 thence along the Northern boundary of S. Swan’s application of 76 acres and the said Northern boundary continued till it intersects a straight line drawn from the North-west corner of section No. 33 Wai-nui-o-mata district to the North-east corner of section No. 76 Lower Hutt thence by the said line to the said North-east corner of section No. 76 thence along the Eastern boundaries of said section and No. 77 to the South-east corner of section No. 77 thence along the Southern boundary of said section and of section No. 15 to the shore of the harbor known as Port Nicholson thence along the shore of the said harbor to the South-west corner of section No. 1 Hutt thence along the Western boundary of said section to the North-west corner and thence a straight line to the commencing point the South-west corner of section No. 309 Western Hutt.

And also that the said Act shall come into operation within such district on the day of the date hereof.
