clamation to declare that the said Act should come into operation within such district or subdivision at such time as he might appoint. And whereas it is deemed expedient to proclaim that portion of the Province within the boundaries hereinafter set forth to be a district for the purposes of the said Act, now therefore I Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that such portion of the said Province as is comprised within the following boundaries shall form and constitute a district for the purposes of the said Act to be called “The Tawa Flat School District” which said district shall be bounded as follows namely—

Commences at the North-east corner of Section No. 27 Porirua Road District thence along the Northern boundary of said section to the North-west corner thence by a public road to the North-east corner of section No. 28 thence along the Northern boundary of said section to the North-west corner thence along the Western boundaries of sections Nos. 31 32 34 36 38 41 43 45 47 49 52 54 55 to the North-west corner of section No. 55 thence a straight line to the West corner of section No. 62 thence along the Western and Northern boundaries of section Nos. 62 108 and 107 to the North-east corner of section No. 107 and thence by a line along the Eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 107 108 61 59 58 56 53 51 50 48 46 44 42 40 39 37 35 33 30 and 29 to the commencing point the North-east corner of section No. 27.

And also that the said Act shall come into operation within such district on the day of the date hereof.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the P.s. Province of Wellington at Wellington this Eighteenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

Defining the Wai-nui-o-mata School District.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the second Session of the Provincial Council of Wellington No. 6 intituled “An Act to promote the establishment of Common Schools in the Province of Wellington” it is enacted that for the purposes of the said Act it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to divide the Province into districts and from time to time sub-divide such districts and to re-unite any sub-divisions. And also by Proclamation to declare that the said Act should come into operation within such district or sub-division at such time as he might appoint. And whereas it is deemed expedient to proclaim that portion of the Province within the boundaries hereinafter set forth to be a district for the purposes of the said Act. Now therefore I Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that such portion of the said Province as is comprised within the following boundaries shall form and constitute a district for the purposes of the said Act to be called “The Wai-nui-o-mata School District” which said district shall be bounded as follows namely—

Commencing at the North-west corner of Section No. 33 Wai-nui-o-mata thence a straight line to the North-east corner of Section No. 76 Lower Hutt thence along the Eastern boundary of said Section and part of Section No. 77 to the North-west corner of Section No. 16 Lowry Bay District thence along the Western boundary of said Section to the South-west corner of said Section thence a line to the North-west corner of Section No. 19 thence along the Western boundary of said Section... to the South-west corner thence a line to the North-east corner of Section No. 23 Harbour District thence along the Eastern boundary of said Section to the South-east corner thence a line along part of the Northern boundary of Section No. 25 Harbour District to the North-east corner of said Section thence along the Eastern boundary of said Section and the Eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 27 29 30 32 34 36 38 40 42 44 46 47 49 51 53 55 57 70 71 72 and 73 Harbour District to the South-east corner of Section No. 73 thence Easterly to the South-east corner of Section No. 78 Wai-nui-o-mata District thence a line to the South-west corner of Section No. 22 thence a straight line to the South-east corner thence Northerly to the North-east corner of said Section thence to the South-east corner of Section No. 21 thence a line to the North-east corner of said Section thence a line to the South-east corner of Section No. 19 thence along the Eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 19 52 54 and 56 to the North-east corner of Section No. 56 thence a straight line to the North-east corner of Section No. 38 thence along the North boundary of said Section to the North-west corner thence a straight line to the North-west corner of Section No. 73 thence a straight line to the North-east corner of Section No. 33 and thence along the Northern boundary of said Section to the commencing point the North-west corner of Section No. 33.

And also that the said Act shall come into operation...
