HIS HONOR the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint
ALEXANDER DUNDAS, Esq.,
to be a District Surveyor; appointment to date from the 4th August, 1866.

Sittings of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Middle District.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Circuit Court of the Supreme Court for the Middle District of New Zealand, for the dispatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be helden at the Court House in the Supreme Court Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington on Saturday the 1st of September next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, pursuant to proclamation, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances as Prosecutors, Witnesses or Defendants, are required to give their attendance.
The Civil Cases will not be called on until Thursday, the 6th day of September next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, to which time the sittings of the said Circuit Court will be adjourned after the conclusion of the Criminal Business.
