Defining the Boundaries of the

Lower Wai-nui-o-mata Highway
District.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Feather-
ston Esquire Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington in
the Islands of New Zealand.

I ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON
Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington in virtue of the powers
vested in me in this behalf do hereby
proclaim and declare that the parts of the
Province lying between the limits here-
in-after specified shall form and constitute
a District for the purposes of the District
Highways Act namely—

Northerly—The boundary commences
at the South-west corner of Section No.
17 Lowry Bay District thence by the
Southern boundary of the Upper Wai-
nui-o-mata District and by a line on a
bearing of 95° from the South-eastern
corner of Section No. 74 Wai-nui-o-mata
District to the top of the Turakara
Range

Easterly—By the Turakara Range
commencing at the intersection of the
Northern boundary and ending at the
sea coast

Southerly—By the sea coast from the
intersection of the Northern boundary
to a point where a continuation of the
Eastern boundary line of Sections Nos.
72 and 73 in the Harbour District would
strike the sea coast

Westerly—By a line from the South-
east corner of Section No. 73 Harbour
District to the sea coast being a continua-
tion of the Eastern boundary line of Sec-
tions Nos. 72 and 73 Harbour District
thence by the Eastern boundary lines of
Sections Nos. 73 72 71 and 70 Harbour
District to the North-east corner of the
said Section No. 70 thence along its
Northern boundary to its North-western
corner thence along the Eastern boundary
lines of Sections Nos. 57 55 53 51 49
and 47 to the North-eastern corner of
the said section No. 47 thence along the
Southern boundary of Section No. 46 to
its South-eastern corner thence along the

Eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 46
44 and 42 and 40 to the North-eastern
corner of the said section No. 40 thence
along its Northern boundary to the South-
eastern corner of Section No. 38 thence
along the Eastern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 38 36 34 32 30 29 27 and 25 to
the starting-point at the South-west corner
of Section No. 17 Lowry Bay District

As the said District and limits are more
particularly delineated and described in
the plan drawn in the margin hereof and
thereon colored red. And such Highway
District shall be called the Lower Wai-
nui-o-mata District.

Election of Wardens—Makirikiri

District.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 7th August, 1866.

NOTICE has been given to this Office,
under the hand of the undermentioned
Chairman, that a meeting of the
Ratepayers of the Makirikiri Road Dis-
trict was held at the residence of Mr. R.
J. Knox, on the 30th day of July, 1866,
when the following persons were elected
members of the Board of Wardens for
the ensuing two years, viz. :—

Peter Clapham
Francis M’Ivor
John M’Lean
Job Freeth, Chairman.
