Defining the Boundaries of the
Upper Wai-nui-o-mata Highway District.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the powers vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that the parts of the Province lying within the limits hereinafter after specified shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the District Highways Act namely:—
Northerly—The boundary commences at the North-east corner of Section No. 38 Wai-nui-o-mata District thence along its Northern boundary to the North-west corner of the said Section, thence by a straight line to the South-west corner of Section No. 19 Hutt District and thence by the Northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 14 and 13 Hutt District.
Westerly—The boundary commences at the North-east corner of Section No. 13 Hutt District thence along the Western South-western boundary of the said Section until it strikes the Waiwetu river and thence along the river and the Harbour shore to the Southern boundary of Section No. 22 Harbour District.
Southerly—The boundary commences at the South-west corner of Section No. 22 Harbour District and along its Southern boundary thence along the Northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 24 and 25 Harbour District to the North-east corner of the said Section No. 25 thence along the Eastern boundary of that Section until it reaches the South-western corner of Section No. 17 Lowry Bay District thence by a straight line to the North-western corner of Section No. 39 Wai-nui-o-mata District and by its Northern boundary to its North-east corner thence by the Western boundary of Section No. 1 Wai-nui-o-mata District until it strikes the Wai-nui-o-mata river thence along the Northern bank of the said river until it strikes the Eastern side of a public highway running between Sections Nos. 1 and 2 Wai-nui-o-mata until it reaches the South-west corner of the said Section No. 2 and thence along the Southern boundary of Section No. 2 and the Southern and Western boundaries of Section No. 74 to the South-east corner of the said Section No. 74.
Easterly—The boundary commences at the South-east corner of Section No. 74 Wai-nui-o-mata District thence along the top of a ridge running about parallel with Sections Nos. 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 Wai-nui-o-mata District till intersected by a line being a continuation of the North-eastern boundary line of Section No. 38 Wai-nui-o-mata District thence by a line Northerly to the starting-point.
