eighty acre selection: Should form and
constitute a District for the purposes of
the "District Highways Act," of the
Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington,
Session III (three), number four.

And whereas it is expedient to alter and
extend the eastern boundary of the said
Highway District:

Now, therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston,
in virtue of the powers vested in me
in this behalf, Do hereby proclaim and
declare that after the date of this Proclamation,
the boundaries of the said Karori
Highway District shall be altered as follows,
namely, on the North-east by the
Town Belt; on the South-east by the
Karori Road, and to include the eighty
acres granted to certain Maories by His
Excellency the Governor; and on the
West by Sections numbers one and two
Upper Kai-warra District; the other
boundaries to continue as in the recited
Proclamation.

Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Province of Wellington, at
Wellington, this eighteenth
day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-five.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington, in the
Colony of New Zealand.

I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington, do hereby, in pursuance of
the regulations in that behalf proclaim and
notify that the several allotments of land
situate in the Whareama Block, in the
East Coast District, in the Province of
Wellington, and specified in the Schedule
hereto, except such as may be reserved
under the provisions hereafter mentioned,
will be put up for sale by Public Auction,
at the Crown Lands Office, in the Town of
Wellington, on Tuesday, the twenty-sixth
day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-five, at one o’clock in
the afternoon.

If at any time during the sale it may
appear to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands beneficial or expedient for the
public service to reserve from sale either
of the sections specified in the said
Schedule, or vary the order in which they
are to be put up, he is hereby authorised
to do so.

August, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-five.
