Appointment of Wanganui Bridge Committee.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint:

R. W. Smith, Esq., J.P.,
W. H. Watt, Esq., J.P.,
W. Boyle, Esq.,
John Cameron, Esq., J.P.,
John Nixon, Esq., J.P.,
W. T. Owen, Esq., and
H. Churton, Esq.,

to be a Committee to carry out the purposes of the Act passed in the tenth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington entitled “An Act to authorise the Construction of a Bridge over the Wanganui River and Levying of Tolls on Traffic over the same.”

In the matter of John Hornby.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND—MIDDLE DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”

And in the matter of the Petition of John Hornby, of Picton, Builder, a prisoner for Debt.

BY an ad interim order of protection and sequestration issued out of this Honorable Court made in the above matter dated the thirteenth day of October, 1863, on the petition of the said John Hornby, it is ordered that the said Petition be heard on the 23rd day of November instant, at the Supreme Court House, Nelson, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon. And it is also ordered that the Estate and Effects of the said John Hornby shall vest in John Sharp, Esq., Registrar of the said Court at Nelson.

Dated this 4th day of November, 1863.

Sittings of the Supreme Court.

SUPREME COURT
MIDDLE DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Circuit Court of the Supreme Court, for the Middle District of New Zealand, for the dispatch of Civil and Criminal Business will be held at the Court House, in the Supreme Court Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 1st day of December next, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, pursuant to proclamation; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances, prosecutors, witnesses, or defendants are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the 8th day of December next, at 10 o’clock a.m.; to which time the sittings of the said Circuit Court will be adjourned, after the conclusion of the Criminal Business.

The Supreme Court will sit in Blenoo, on Tuesday, the fifteenth day of December next, at 10 o’clock a.m.
