✨ Land Proclamation

By His Excellency the Right Honourable Sir George Grey, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of New Zealand.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Land Act, 1865, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation, declare any Crown lands to be open for selection; and whereas it is expedient that certain lands in the Province of Wellington should be so declared:

Now, therefore, I, the said Governor, by and with the advice of the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto annexed are hereby declared to be open for selection, subject to the provisions of the said Land Act, 1865, and of the regulations made thereunder.

Given under my Hand and the Great Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, at Government House, Wellington, this twenty-third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, and in the twenty-ninth year of Her Majesty’s reign.
