PROCLAMATION.

By CHARLES WILLIAM SCHULTZE,
Esquire Deputy Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington in the
Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial
Council of the Province of Wellington, Session Three, Number Four, Intituled "An Act to consolidate the law relating to District Highways." It was enacted among other things that the Superintendent might for the purposes of the said Act, from time to time by Proclamation, divide the Province, or any part thereof, into Districts, and in like manner subdivide, alter, or rename the same. And whereas it is expedient to proclaim the portion of the aforesaid Province hereinafter mentioned to be a District for the purposes of the said Act.

Now therefore, I, Charles William Schultze, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Wellington by virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, Do hereby Proclaim and declare, that the sections hereinafter described, viz., sections numbers seventeen,
(17) eighteen, (18) and nineteen, (19)
Harbour District--sections numbers
seventy-eight, (78) and seventy-nine,
(79) Lower Hutt District, and country sections numbers two, (2) three, (3) five,
(5) seven, (7) nine, (9) and twelve, (12)
Horokiwi Road District, delineated and
colored red in the annexed plan, shall
form and constitute a District for the
purposes of the said Act, and shall be called "The Horokiwi Road District."

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this Thirty-first day of July, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.
