MILITIA.
BY VIRTUE and in exercise of the authority in me vested, I, James Cowan, Senior Captain Commanding the Wellington Battalion of Militia, do hereby appoint and declare that the said Battalion shall be formed into Six Companies, as follows, viz.:
NO. 1 COMPANY.
To comprise all those liable to serve as Militiamen, whose places of abode for the time being areβ
Within a line commencing at the seaward end of Charlotte-street, at the Northern end of the Government House Reserve; thence North-Eastward along the shores of the Harbour at high water mark, past Kai-warra-warra to the division between sections 4 and 5 Harbour District; thence in a North-West direction along the said division to the South corner of No. 1 Section, Kina-poura District; thence along the Southern boundary of the same (being the division between the Kinapoura and Kai-warra-warra Districts) to the summit of the ridge dividing the Ohariu valley from that of the Kai-warra-warra; thence northerly along the said ridge to where the Maori path crosses the same; thence in a straight line in a Southerly direction to the Kai-warra-warra stream at the South-West corner of No. 1 Section, Kai-warra-warra District; thence ascending the course of the said stream, in a Southerly direction, to the Southern boundary of Section 32, Karori District; thence in
