All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature hereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the First Session of the Provincial Council of Wellington, intituled "An Act to make further Provisions relative to Fencing within the Districts of the Province," it was enacted that the Superintendent should, whenever it should appear to him expedient, declare by Proclamation that the said Act should come into operation within any Town or District of the Province, and by the same Proclamation declare the limits of such Town or District.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said above mentioned Act shall come into operation within so much of the Township of Greytown and the Suburbs thereof as are comprised within the following boundaries, viz.:
- North—The Waiohine River.
- On the South and South-west by the Tauherenikau River.
- West—By a line drawn from the Waiohine River to the Tauherenikau River at the base of the hills.
- East and South-east—Native Reserves and unpurchased Lands.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington this eighteenth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and fifty eight.
