PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and direct that a Board of Commissioners shall be established for the management of the Streets, the Sewerage and Drainage, and the preservation of the health of the inhabitants of that portion of the Town of Wellington which is comprised within the following boundaries, namely—
North—a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section Number 270, thence along the northern boundaries of Sections Number 278, 300, 309, 332, 341, and 367; Eastward and Southward—the Town Belt; Westward—also the Town Belt, to the south-west corner of Section Number 726, thence along the eastern side of Wallace-street to the north-west corner of Section Number 722, thence along the northern boundary of Section Number 722, to meet, and thence along the western side of Sections Number 721, 720, 719, 718, 717, 716, and 715, thence eastern side of the Barrack Reserve to Buckle street, thence along the northern boundary of Section Number 664, across Buckle street to meet, and thence along the western boundary line of Sections Number 263, 264, 265, 266, 267, 268, 269, and 278.
And I, the Superintendent aforesaid, by and with the advice of my Executive Council, do further proclaim and declare that the Board for the purposes aforesaid shall consist of twelve Commissioners.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, this Sixteenth day of December, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-eight.
