PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act passed in the first Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, intituled “An Act to make further provisions relative to Fencing within the Districts of the Province,” It is enacted that the Superintendent of the Province should, whenever it should appear to him expedient, declare by Proclamation that the said Act should come into operation within any Town or District of the Province, and by the same Proclamation declare the limits of such Town or District,
Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, Do hereby Proclaim and Declare, that the said above-mentioned Act shall come into operation within the District of Waipukerau, the boundaries of which I declare to be as follows, viz.,—
North—A line due East and West passing through the Trigonometrical Station at Kawehei, near Te Aute.
South—the Porangahau and Mangawhero Rivers to Rua Katia, a remarkable hill, thence due west to the Ruahine Mountains.
East—By the Sea from the Porangahau River to three miles north of the Manawarakau River.
West—By the Ruahine Mountains.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of December, One thousand Eight hundred and Fifty-seven.
