Manga-a-Rangipeke Block,
Estimated to contain 10,000 acres.
Boundaries:—
A line commencing at the Umataro,
thence to te Pou a Ouenuku, thence to
te Inawhiti, thence to te Whare o Toraia,
where it enters the Taumahapu Wood,
and passing through the Wood, emerges
at te Whataupoko, thence to te Upoko o
pana, where it enters the Mangamate,
thence up the Mangamate to Manga-
tainroa, thence to Taumata o Matakite,
thence to the Mangaonuku, thence down
the Mangaonuku to Parikarangaranga,
thence to te Manga-a-Rangipeke, thence
to te Whakaraputapu, thence to the
Umataro, where it ends.

PROVINCIAL COUNCIL—ELECTION OF
TWO MEMBERS FOR THE CITY OR
TOWN OF WELLINGTON.
Province of Wellington,
to Wit.
WHEREAS a Writ under the hand
of ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, and under the Public
Seal of the said Province, bearing date
the twentieth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-eight, hath
been directed to me, JOHN ELISHA
SMITH, Esq., Returning Officer for the
City or Town of Wellington, requiring
and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the Voters duly
qualified for that purpose, freely and
indifferently, and in manner and form by
law prescribed, two persons to serve as
Members for the City or Town of Wellington aforesaid in the Provincial Council
of the Province of Wellington, in the
place of Edward Jerningham Wakefield
and George Hunter, Esquires, whose
seats in the said Council have become
vacant;
NOW THEREFORE I, the said
JOHN ELISHA SMITH, Returning Officer
for the City or Town of Wellington, do
hereby, in pursuance of the said Writ,
give notice, that a public meeting of the
Electors of the City or Town of Welling-
ton, will be holden at the Resident
Magistrate’s Court, situate on Lambton
Quay, in the City or Town of Wellington,
on Thursday, the ninth day of September
next, at noon, for the purpose of nominating two persons to serve as Members
for the said City or Town of Wellington
in the said Provincial Council; and in
the event of a poll being demanded for
the candidates, or any of them, each
polling shall take place at the said Resident Magistrate’s Court, on Friday, the
tenth day of September next; the voting
to commence at any time after nine
o’clock in the forenoon of the said
day, and to close at four o’clock in the
afternoon of the said day.

day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-eight.
